I called SH today about the new ignition. Still not done. I guess AJ sent the prototype back. It didn't start well enough. The stator is done which they said was the hard part. They are waiting on the CDI and rectifier. No arrival date yet, sounded like it would be soon. I'm looking forward to switching ignition curves on the bars

Maybe the new one will be available on a 2 for 1 swap basis?

i just want a freakin stator that works better than this moose POS i'm using right now. i don't need a dang new ignition curve or any of that bullshit.
something that is affordably priced would be nice too.if i'm gonna spend 500+ for that, then i might as well just spend it on a dual HID helmet light setup instead. then i can even use it with all my bikes.

Or 6 poles...
PS, No, I just checked, the rotor ave 4 magnet, therefore, a 6-pole, it does not ...

if i were looking for a lighting option, this would be my exact thoughts. thank god i dont have to depend on s/h for anything, otherwise i would probly be very disappointedPorted&Polished wrote:Whatever, I see no need for a different ignition. Why can't somebody just make a fricken lighting kit for us and forget about all this tracktability bullshit? I think it's lame that they force a different ignition on folks just looking for a lighting system.

If the unit isn't available, and they were having issues w/the "prototype", why did they even mention it. Now there's people ready to spend some big cash and it's not even in production.
I've been searching for lighting options also.

i could be wrong but i thought the whole issue was the cdi ? some genious thought it would be a good idea to put in added features, i guess a few ladies couldnt start their bike with a stock timing curve and the power was just too much . the new and improved unit will have flip of the switch settings.....setting #1 is for when your tampon is in a bunch and you cant handle full power, setting #2 is for when your wearing high heels and cant start the bikeWheelie-Gene wrote:If the unit isn't available, and they were having issues w/the "prototype", why did they even mention it.
