Air striker

Post by Mad Dog »

Turns out my AF has an A/S carb, my steely has a 39.
The AF had a smoother power delivery but I attributed that to the PC pipe vs the FMF.
It was also limp at 90lbs compression.

I've just freshened both top ends.
I was wondering what is to be expected of the AS vs the 39?
Has anyone here played with both carbs?

Given time, I will eventually swap these around to find out.
I was just looking for additional feedback.

The AS is less forgiving to altitude changes, if you trail ride up and down mountain ranges they are more cranky then the PWK or PJ. But at a given altitude they are very crisp when jetted spot on.

Thanks guys.
I rode both bikes this weekend and since both bikes are set differently, my conclusions are inconclusive.
