I grabbed a stock pipe that's pretty mint off eBay a few months back. Looking for a second one soon I think too.

Nothing fits like a stocker!

On that note you guys running anything for pipe protection?

I've gotta agree. Been very impressed with pro grip for years now. If you have very large hands or do a lot of long rides give their rallye grip a try. Super super soft and large profile in your hand. You won't believe how long they last too and reduce vibrations big time too

Try using the photosensitive lens from pro-grip. They work great for going from bright into woods. They are very similar to the transitions lenses for glasses but seem to work very fast and almost unnoticeable

Oh and also a slightly increased oil capacity on the clutch cover would be awesome along with a slightly thicker wall to strengthen it a bit.

Personally I'd prefer the Honda copy as then you can get the stock flat oring for the ignition cover easily. That and I hate the paper gasket on the boyeson cover! As for the clutch again it would be nice to be able to use a stock oring for convenience and well it works great.

I'd be interested in 2 ignition covers and possibly 4 clutch covers

All blank would be great

Depending on price of course
Thanks

Would add cost but done right it'd be a virgin cover

You may be right about getting lucky. I didn't put a ton of pressure to it before it moved but the bigger hammer method and the air hammer had no effect soooo next time was to use bigger and more expensive tools as needed

When I was working on my donor I found the dreaded seized swingarm bolt. My solution was to pull everything else off the frame but the motor and the swingarm. Then pick it up and put the whole unit into a hydraulic press. Supporting the underside with a big socket and using a shouldered drift punch ...

I've been using twin air filters with no-toil. Had great results so far been using this for many years. Never had any issue. Filters last great and never fall apart because no solvents. I've also always sprayed the inner of the airboot with white grease just in case and I've never seen/felt any dirt...

Beautiful bike love the graphics! My 1997 Cr250 was an amazing bike especially for ice racing it was one the fastest 250 ice bikes I ever had set up. On loose/soft ice I could pull 500s down the straights and out turn them in the corners. And in the woods I never felt or experienced the complaints e...

Some guys swear by using mini high bars (yz80 bend seems to be a fave). As the center section is tighter radius and the straight parts are longer to give more room for controls.

So you guys really think the 1/16" diameter difference would be noticable in hurting the power?

I wish they made a q stealth for the 500 then

Danny did you use a 500 silencer and mod to fit??

My thinking is if I use the 250 silencer it will bolt up to the subframe perfectly and then I only need to make the inlet line up

whattya think??
Thanks

I am building a gen3 cr250r conversion right now myself and I've been wondering what silencer I should be buying also... I would like to either get a fmf q or maybe a q-stealth that will bolt to the subframe and then modify as needed to make the inlet line up to the pipe. Or should I get the 500 sil...

your front brake line should run on the inside of the fork leg though.

Did you press bend the headstays or vice and hammer?

Hey, I've got a gen 3 cr250 chassis that i've basically got together as a roller but i haven't picked up the rads yet for it. basically, what i am after is will any other gens or crf rads fit this chassis?? minor mods aren't a real problem because i'm doing a 500AF conversion so i'll be getting some...
