since my 500 is in an 03 125 chassis I would want the same chassis for the 2 fiddy to keep the ergos the same. I really like the 125 handling for my type of riding.

I have a 98 cr 250 in a 05 crf 250 chassis. It is a fun bike. Wasnt that hard to do either. Mine took about 3 week to do, and my brother and I did his in 3 days.

I just bought this 125 (actually has a 134 motor) but I don't want to cut it up for a conversion. yet.

I saw that one you'd got.

And the stamped frame.

Have you got 'provenance' on that - re : it really being a Lamson bike and the stampings being real?

If you have provenance, or can get it, it would be almost a crime to do anything to the bike other than bring it back to what it was when Lamson had it.

I'm not trying to be an arsehole, just hoping that something that could, perhaps be a genuine thing, doesn't get carved up. Over your way, it seems old CRs are a dime a dozen, and it might be more appropriate to build up a nice 96 250/ AF conversion out of something other than what may be a special bike.

Off course, it's yours to do what you like with.

I don't have it yet, its being shipped from texas end of this week. although the Lamson connection is there it did not factor into me buying this bike as there is no hard documentation. I bought it because the price got down way below what I could build it for. the story is that at the end of his stint with husqvarna he broke his leg and it ended his contract. while healing honda tried to recruit him and sent him this bike. he ended up signing with suzuki the next season. he bike ended up with a texas dealer that fields a lot of racers and was sold in a box to a racer in san antonio who rebuilt it.

supposedly had the stamps on the bottom of the frame and the steering head. supposedly has the number 08847 stamped on the swingarm, engine cases, pipe. pipe is supposedly signed by donnie emler sr. suspension supposedly has a lot of special coatings and internals. gearbox components are supposed to be all hard coated.

anyone with a set of punches could fake this so I really don't care too much. I plan to ride the thing.

I'd ride it, as a 134cc.

Would probably be a fantastic little bike, set up properly. The only thing lacking on LM CR125s was horsepower / a good power delivery. That may have been taken care of by the engine mods.

Hmm the 134 engine just may be what my 125 needs. If you do the conversion I'd be interested in buying the running gear from this bike.
