Luckily i have an eye like a dead fish. here's the first mount off, must say it was a little tedious and...

Does not matter now with the 250 frame. Bob I would love to send it away but the logistics and service will cost me a small fortune. I am much more confident with a 250 frame and happy to do the leg work. In the mean time I will search for a hopefully competant welder

Thanks for your input, i've decided to use this as a back up plan. Deep down i know i should just find a 250 frame.. i cant find one thats not rediculously priced, and a couple recently but they wouldnt ship international. So not having much luck.

Done well, they certainly should be. And they are very good / versatile for 'different' builds - as in, making 'shapes' that might be required, for different frames, like 125s with their more angled back original down tube. My much preferred option. I think I gave you some direction / suggestions w...

Are flat sheet "Y"s stronger

I tried bumping the flat sheet Y thread, seems to be little interest.. I am seriously considering the flat sheet Y. I'd like to learn more, strength changes of angle, sheet thickness "varied" etc. Best type of joins, surface area of welds to downtube etc.. Bearoso has mentioned it a few ti...

Aluminium, i guess what i'd like to know... It basically looks like crap with a little age and wear and tear. That brings me to my question. With cars bullbars rollbars etc, why the hell are they so shiney all the time?... Are they coated with something? Different type of aluminium. Sorry if this so...

cheaper engine alternative

Some of you blokes probably do it this way already. Ebay can be your friend here. I personally was hestitant to pay $2500 +++ for an unknown motor, factor in shipping and import taxes. Some engines look clean but as we all know a clean engine can still be a clapped out basket case which still needs ...
