Thanks....

The plastics used to be red....hence the red trees.
I just thought the black/aluminum combo looked more tasteful. A black frame would be overkill. I'll eventually strip the trees to match.

It's getting there....... My crank came back from STR and it's time for reassembly. Now there's a lot of little issues to take care of. Seems the last 10% takes 90% of the time. I started a build thread a long time ago and lost track of it so I started a 2nd one. http://www.bannedcr500riders.com/boa...

I talked to my contact.....he has a Yamaha race spec RD350 (the air cooled version of the TZ motor) engine available. Looks like I now need a frame.

Anyone have a 1st gen frame for cheap???

Yep....Honda has always been at the front of 4 stroke development. Look back many decades ago, anyone remember the 6 cylinder 125 and 250 road racers that Hailwood rode? Little pistons, tiny valves, and engines that revved to the moon. (And) who could ever forget the NR500, and NR750 (street version...

This has been talked about before. Even though round tubing is/could be structurally strong enough, most people frown on the fact that it doesn't look factory (doesn't match the rest of the frame). I looked at many different builds before I chopped into mine. I've seen where solid square stock was u...

The dude that I got my triple from has a few RD engine basket cases (too bad Honda never made a high-potent twin smoker). I have extra cones left over from my chamber build. http://inlinethumb26.webshots.com/42649/2356648330102045454S600x600Q85.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPqYvVRakT8 I'm game...

I built a whole different cradle and Y section and made the mount plates longer than what most others do. Warping? No. I had empty cases bolted in for most of the final welding. I heated the frame in an oven for less distortion. The last time I had the engine in/out, everything lined up perfectly. S...

If the unit isn't available, and they were having issues w/the "prototype", why did they even mention it. Now there's people ready to spend some big cash and it's not even in production.

I've been searching for lighting options also.

I put too much time into my personal builds to take them out and give 'em a good thrashing. I like to have fun and thrill the power, I'm just cautious. I had an '81 CR450 a long time ago......that thing had a throw-a-person-to-the-ground kind of hit. I loved the bike. I was its 3rd owner. It practic...
