FS: 93 YZ80 Trail Friendly

So, I bought this little gem several years ago for my oldest son. It had been used so little that it still had the original tires on it, and they were in good shape. He rode it for a couple of years chasing me around the woods and eventually tired it out. By the time he tired it out, we were doing some pretty significantly difficult trails, so I decided to give it the treatment. I rebuilt the top end and while I was at it, I had the deck shaved and the exhaust port raised to give it some more bottom end. I also put a Rad Valve on it. Sure did the trick. It is much more woods friendly now. My oldest's frustration level went way down and his confidence went way up. Unfortunately, he outgrew it quickly and started riding his mom's KX100. Now he's got a KDX220. I kept the bike for my youngest, but as it turns out, he's really not interested, and now he's kinda outgrown it as well. So it's time to get rid of it.

It still runs really great. If you're looking for a bike that won't make it too easy for your young rider like the thumpers do. This bike will do a great job of teaching them how it's done without the frustration level getting too high.

When I had it being rebuilt, I also took the opportunity to replace and grease ALL the bearings. It has new tires, chain and sprockets. It also has bark busters and a gripper seat cover. It's not flashy or even pretty, but it's a solid, clean little machine.

I am asking $1000 for it which I realize seems a bit steep for it's age, but you're not likely to find another one quite like it. If a Banned member wants it, I'll let it go for $900.
