39mm PWK issue

Post by eyesky2002 »

Been having an issue with my carb, since I cleaned it  When ever my bike is running I have fuel coming out my over flow; not a lot, but a steady drip. When it os not running I have to lean it over, before anything comes out. I have played with the float level, which may be right or may be wrong as carbs are my weak point :?

Any ideas, tips or pictorials on float adjustment?

I checked it and the rubber on the needle looks great and the metal has no wear like shown below.

how is the spring?
It definately is a float/ float needle issue, keep looking there.
I replace mine every few years as the rubber dries out, even if it looks good it can act up.

Does your engine vibrate excessively? headstays are tight?
sounds like needle is bouncing when its running, but works fine when off.

Are your reeds in good shape?
a broken reed can allow the primary compression to wreak havoc on your carb too, as the flow is reverting with each compression stroke.
