I just picked up this bad boy '97 Friday night after searching for one months.
I think I did okay with it, it's super clean, runs and shifts great and it has a ton of sweet aftermarket parts and a few cool mods (steering damper and suspension set up for my fat ass (220lbs)
I just had to buy it for a couple of reasons; I once had a ' 91 and after many other bikes that followed nothing compared to the HTFO thrill that a 500 delivers
(closest thing I've had since is my VMax) and secondly as a retirement gift to myself for just finishing my 20 years with the Worlds finest Navy.
(closest thing I've had since is my VMax) and secondly as a retirement gift to myself for just finishing my 20 years with the Worlds finest Navy. I live in in East San Diego County and am planning on being out at Plaster City and superstition with it this coming weekend, hope to meet some fellow CR500 riders here. I look forward to learning from the experts here and maybe I'll be able to make some positive contributions to the CR500 community.
Thanks again
