The Government should be out of the marriage business and then this issue would be moot. Have civil unions for all covered by contract law. Remove any governmental incentives to be married. Leave the practice of marriage exclusively to religious organizations so they can who they marry (or not).

Today if you prioritize liberties and rights over whatever you might think of gays, you're going to vote no.

hoinestly, I don't like homos getting married, but I am a libertarian and believe in the least restriction. If we say Homos can't get married, when are people gonna tell us we can't ride and we can't own guns, rights are rights reguardless of your opinions or beliefs.

Beastiality is still illegal... although, I'd ask brit, he is the expert

I don't know, on a much smaller scale, I feel this compares to the civil rights movement and womens sufferage.
Not all that long ago, women and minorities were 2nd class citizens and blacks were compared to animals the way homos are being portraid in this case.
I've known quite a few homos and never thought one might rape myself on any of my pets.
the church will never vailidate a gay marriage, but atleast let 2 homos who want to live a married life together and get some of the legal benefits. hell, I think it would be good for society, not that it makes being gay ok, but by allowing them this, there might be fewer of them out there fooling around and receiving and spreading diseases.

Like I said, homos getting married doesn't make me happy, but is it really the laws place to say they are not allowed?

I'm so sick of someone's sexual preference being confused with their identity.

If you want to follow this logic, I should be able to lobby Washington for special privileges for " Doggy Style Only", which is a sexual preference I was born with... Much like a homo who like the ol' high hard one in the dirt chute, a preference he was born with.

Murder is murder. If I did it because I hate you... its 10-15 years.

If I murder you, cuz your a fag.... its 20-40 years.

Dead is dead...... is a pole - smokers life worth more than a straight guys? The courts say yes....

I AM VOTING YES ON 8!!!!!

Stop the power grab by the gay minority. Who knows whats the next item in their agenda is.

I don't even want to know......

If all they wanted was to have certain rights, like succession of property, visitation in hospitals, certain legal rights.... they should have asked for a proposition asking for that, and that only.....

MARRIAGE is one man, one woman.... period.

When one group is attempting to remove pre-established rights from another group to which today they have equal access, its kind of ass-backwards to accuse the latter of special treatment or a power grab. Right?

Up here after they passed the gay marriage thing, a "couple" went about a week later and tried to get a divorce. The judge in the case had a field day. Talking about how they wanted to be able to get married and all this stuff and now a week later they want a divorce. No fucking way! You wanted it now you got it. Bad part is the judge got in trouble for it.

Unfortunately practicly every church across the country has sold there soul to the Devil, meaning the US government in this case. By having been granted the 501c3 status by the beloved IRS. Which also means that the pastors/preists are not allowed to speak out aginst the government which is giving up there right to free speach as well. Now if the Clergy would man up and stop been puss' about a tax exempt status, which is a God given right to begin with, they/we would have none of this.

I've said it before, two signatures in a bible of choice is good enough.

Plus if gays and lesbians were not allowed to married under this, the governments would collect more in taxes because of no deduction for a spouse and withholding would be on two single people. I don't see why that would be allowed. There must be something bigger in that picture I'm missing.
