99 GEN1 Conversion Completed (Finally)

Post by atank »

I started this on the 19th, so far got the engine mounted, and having to use washers for the engine centering, no bushings available. All the welds are complete and the headstay is in place.

That's what I was thinking. I usually don't see anyone on here before I go to work.

Looking good man! Is that a kit from the ShanMan? I am working on my 2nd Gen 1 right now. I had so much fun with the first one I had to do another. Does anyone know if Shan has got the kits done yet? I have tried to PM him but they are all sitting in my outbox. Let me know if anyone has any info on the kits.

A tad more progress, other than putting a hole in the used gas tank, too much pressure around the headstay.

That would be great, I really need those engine centering bushings, I don't like using washers

Yeah, washers always linger in my head while riding.I always think it's not exactly right even though it's probaly fine.
