When I was growing up in south Louisiana, several of us were standing around at school talking about which rod, reel, and bait we liked to use. One of the kids who lived out in the swamp looked at us and said, " Mais sha, you don need all dat stuff. Jus fine you a big cypress tree, stick you hand up in dare an pull you out a fish." I said, "What happens when you stick your hand up in there and grab a water moccasin?". He just looked at me like I was from another planet and said, "You let him go.".
