Michigan dude checking in!
Michigan dude checking in!
Howdy. I've been lurking here for about 2 months, and last week I finally sold my '98 YZ250 to a buddy and picked up an 01 CR500... so I broke down and registered.
I'm a big dude (6'3", 300#), my YZ wasn't knocking my socks off at Silver Lake...and my old roommate has an '87 5-hundy that's been through hell and back. I've always been impressed with it...from the effortless wheelies, to the very distinct sound of a big bore smoker firing up, then roosting you...not to mention we did a top end on his last week...and up until then it was running on the original piston! Needless to say I had to have one of my own.
Probably going to ride around Walled Lake on the ice with it next weekend, and we've already got a couple trips planned for the spring. I hope I can respect the throttle enough to not hurt myself!
You guys seem to have an awesome forum here, I saw a couple links to it on thumpertalk and quickly determined this is the far better place, as opposed to the "other" site. I'll try not to be a douche.

I can feel the love in here already.
That Hampton Inn is brand new. When I first moved out to the Detroit area (from Milwaukee, Wisconsin) 5 years ago, M5 ended there at 14 mile. That area has been expanding like crazy over the past couple years, it's one of the few spots doing well in town. My house is about 15 minutes from there, down M5.
Also- I have to ask Brit, do you carry your balls in a wheelbarrow or something? I saw a picture of your '00 bike on Thumpertalk and thought the N20 bottle was a joke...until I saw your nitrous post here and realize you actually ride it, and it's a 25 shot on a motor already making 70+ HP. Holy crap, dude!

That's gonna take a whole lot of throttle, and a bigger tank strapped to the number plate....AlisoBob wrote: Now he's planning on riding the North Face...
As for riding in Milwaukee, I have absolutely zero idea. I didn't start riding a 2 wheeled anything until I moved to Detroit. From what I've seen, there are plenty of tracks up north, and ice racing is huge, similar to Michigan, but I can't say for sure.
Don't know if anyone else has checked it out yet, but I spent an hour last night looking at his website, cool stuff bro!

"Stabbin Cabin" was written in similar graphics on the side of the trailer, pointing to the door. The owner had a lifted Powerstroke with a ton of money thrown at it, and he also had a brand new Raptor. Somebody managed to "purge" on the Raptor overnight. At 8am in the campground, all you heard was this guy screaming at the top of his lungs... "who the f*W$%k puked on my quad???!!!!".
It was hilarious.
