Cradle Bending Jig

Post by lambofgod85 »

This is a Bending Jig I made at work for forming the new 25x25x3mm Aluminium cradle rails for my Gen3. It does a very good job. If anyone wants any info on the Bending Jig just let me know, happy to help. :D

Do you anneal the tube?

Hi Roostius_Maximus. Yeah the jig looks alright :D . I made it up at work, very simple if you got the gear. I decided to use this type of bender, because of my cradle had many bends in it, which the ram type pipe bender would have restricted this or not even made it possible. The tube was bent without annealing, after bending up the test piece, I got a mate at work (40 years blacksmith experience) to check out the tube out. All good  .
