Hone advice

Post by Tharrell »

Need a ball hone for at least 2 cylinders and both are different sizes.
Rocky mountain has 84-89mm and then another one for anything larger.
I have a stock cylinder and one that's been bored one size over.
It's been a loooooong time since I used one.
Can I get away with one hone for both cylinders?
Need advice from you gearheads. :)

If you have a cyl that is 89.5mm the 89 mm hone should work for you. I have bought hones for other cylinders and you can always go slightly larger when the hone is new but when it wears it might be too small?
If your not doing it for a living the one you ask about should be fine.
