Magura to CR500 part #
DONT BAG ME.....
Iv'e done the search, spent 15mins reading posts ... thanks boB on a brilliantly edited bleeding process on the aforementioned device, even if it sucks arse!
So what Magura clutch do i get for a 500.
250 (97-00) clutch cables fit 500's so is it safe to assume .... i think not,
thats why im asking.
Im on Fleabay looking at geting one for my 85 steely.

The only one I rode was on Shanmans original Gen1 AF.asteroid500 wrote:Your opinion on them boB
It attaches to a standard clutch lever, and then the standard cable attaches to it... it kinda floats in space behind the number plate.
Inside ia a little lever with a few holes in it to determine how much mechanical advantage you want... but the more advantage it applies, the shorter the available throw.
It the max position, the lever pull is easy, but the cluth turns into a "light switch"... its either on or off.... pretty hard to modulate.
I think Shan had his in the middle position. It rode well, lever pull was pretty easy.
I'm not sure all this is really needed though... If you ever rode a CR500 with a ball bearing lever, new OEM cable, new lifter mechanism and pushrod, and OEM fibers and springs... the clutch feel is perfect and the effort to control it is pretty low.
Its a good system when all the parts are working as they should....
