PIPE BENDING......

ok just got a FMF GNARLY from a guy in NY. said it supposed to fit my 92.... laying pipes side by side its exact everywhere but right at the bend coming into the head. the old pipe slips right in perfect......the gnarly needs bent in about 3/4" to slide past frame...
can the pipe be bent a bit to match the FATTY that was on it ? (the FATTY is pretty beat up with a huge dent in the outside edge) how much heat would it need to be bent into place ? (torches ?)
looking online i see the FMF fit 85-88 then 89-01... can anyone tell me if the pipes are identical other than the first 12" that curve into the head ?
