Finally tracked this guy down. Bike is in exllent shape and it is an 02. The suspesion is good and tight, tires are new plastic is in great condition , radiators are good sprockets and chain are ok. He keeps the motor and electronics. I get the roller for 700.00$ He has another 450 he wants the parts for.
I know your going to think I'm stupid.
Now the question 99 cr250r or a 02 450 CRF frame for my conversion. I know the gen 1 is a simple conversion and the 02 450 is more work. Is the newer suspension that much better on the 02 450. I just trail ride all over the midwest. Hatfield Mcoy, Badlands, Black Moutain KY, Big Rock Haspin Acres and local farms here in Ohio

Thanks
Tim

consider the availability of a gen1 radiator, the availability of the gen3 plastics that were the same # plates and shrouds for 5 years. I know what i'd be building

The J. O. calls me wants 750.00$ or make an offer . I tell him I would give 600$. Because he ask I said 600. I ask what about the 700 we had agreed on. He thinks it worth more 50 bucks WTF. So he tells me he will think it over and hangs up and now won't return my calls. I hate dealing with kids . So it looks like I'm back to the 99 and will wait for another deal to come along.

The 450 deal fell thru. But tonight I landed an 04 CRF 250R with a bad engine complete with after market triple clamps He said after market rims but after the power washer I think they were just painted black.
Needs fork seals and tires but other than that it is in good shape.
500$ I know it's hard to believe he wanted 800$ I told him sorry I only had 500$ to spend he left and came back and said give me the cash here's the title.

That 04 CRF250 is an awesome deal, and much btter than either bike.
The 450 with rectangular tube and no headstay is a PITA
The99 doesn't handle or have parts availability
The 04 CRF250 has a nice chasis, small ergo's, square tube cradle, and lots of parts out there, plus it turns real nice!

I would like to have most everthing on hand when I start. I know there will be some missing parts. I have the Al. tube.
Swing arm spacers which one?
Cables throttle and clutch?
Just got pipe and silencer looks almost new FMF Fatty and silencer (Thanks to a member)
99 Cr 250 ignition
Can you think of any thing I should order or may need.
