Thursdays Ride....
Thursdays Ride....
So we hit our new favorite spot thursday.... absoultly perfect weather...
Me, Pecker,Al ,Solid, Solid jr.,and his buddy Grant.
The drive up was fun, lots of giving each other the finger kinda shit going on....
Eric and I were in my box van, Pecker in is F-350... were going about seventy and Pecker rolls down his window, and chucks a Jelly Roll acrooss the lane of traffic at Solid, who catches it.... and eats it.
Maybe Solid does have a little bit of "Ninja" in him.....
He hit the Del Taco for some grub, and the mini-mart for some suds...
Solid found it very funny I paid for my $1.39 King Cobra with a credit card... They were out of my gas station Sushi....
So we unload .... and ride..ride..ride...
Through snow, fast hard pack, ridge runs, hillclimbs...everything.
Trails are fantastic, tacky, no dust.
One new trail we found is a fast uphill section, lots of banking, step ups, and switchbacks. I'm leading, Pecker is right on my ass..... we carried pretty good pace all the way up... it was pretty friggin' cool!!
When I lead, I always worry about coming around the corner, and going head on with little 8 year old Johnny, splattering him all over the ground. Not today, we had the whole mountian to our selves.
At one point, were kinda lost, and commiting ourselves by going down long icy trails that we have no way to get back up it they dead end, or head off the wrong way.
Its getting towards dark, and Al's bike dosent get the best gas mileage...
We find our way back on some new trails , much to the relief of Eric... who had been giving me "the stink eye" for much of the last hour.....
"Where the fuck are you taking us........boB? Shouldnt we be going THAT way???"
All in all , the best ride I have been on all year. I roosted Grant pretty good in the snow, Al took a bit of a tumble... but both will surrive.
We might get one more ride in up there before the snow levels fall too low, and bury the trails.... We'll try to work around your schedule Brit.....
Heres some photos that Pecker took up in the snow sections......

All I can say is Garrett and I had a great time.
Bob was leading us off into the great unknown.
It's a good thing we turned around at the top of that hill not knowing that had we gone that way we would have never made it and would have had to turn around.
But it all worked out just as the sun was going down behind the mountains.
Great pics Ryan, Thanks.
