A quick "How ya'Do", and a photo would be nice.

New addict in NH

Post by Jimmah »

Hey guys, new guy here from NH. I'm 24 years old and have been riding bikes and ATVs for 18 years. The last five years I have been bike only and haven't looked back. I have a stable full of bikes ranging from dirt to street. Until now the only smoker I had was a 01 CR250.

Recently I found a blown up 02 CR250 and thought it would be great to update my 01 frame to a 02. Little did I know I would stumble upon a steal of a 99 CR500. It is in great shape and it came titled, e-line lighting, fmf full system, and dirt and street rims.

So now my journey begins in squeezing this beast of an engine into the empty chassis. I've been lurking around here for a little bit now getting ideas but felt I couldn't post here until I could actually start te thing consistently. So today I went out with the boys and just said screw it, what better way to learn how to do it then get stranded in the woods. I can now say I can proudly start it eveytime on the first or second try!

Anyways here are the bikes I'm starting with.

AlisoBob, unfortunately that just is not my style. I'm usually unbolting things on the ride home to make them more my own. Like I said I'm an addict! :headbang:

From what I know in CA it's a PITA to title a bike.... In NH it'a easy as it can be. I have 2 CRF50s, XR80, CRF150F, 1 CR250 frame, 1 CR250 rolling chassis, 1 CR250 running bike, and a CRF450X all titled for street use. So the roller the 500 is going into is already titled for street use!

As far as the rims go, I plan to put those to good use especially since they fit all the big boy Hondas I own.

Eh, from what I can tell Bob seems like a good shit in other threads. I'll just take it as a form of hazing. Next thing ya know he's gonna start putting his feet up on the coffee table!
