Light Question

Post by 90cr500guy »

So I have a Service Honda ignition with the 120 watt light coil

I want the most light for the least $
I was thinking a single 8 inch round 120 watt halogen
Is this a good choice?

Sounds cool, but those big round ones can get bashed, the numberplate kind seen more like they will not get broken. But of course that's me, I fall.

If you paid 6 large for the SH ignition, why cheese out on the light?? Buy an HID set from ebay and go to walmart and get a pair of housings and be "the man"...

used up my funds and the season is around the corner.
HID's require the battery and regulator/rectifier, besides the set up I saw that I liked was the 2 8 inchers for $1100

I run a Baja Designs 8" halogen w/ 55w bulb (stock stator) on my XR650R. It's a good light, built solid. I've been happy with it.

looks good bro, do you need a 200w stator for your pig I got one sitting on the shelf.

when you order your soltek light order it with a 100w light and your 120w S/H cdi & stator will light it up nice .

I run the same light on a 120w CR500 and a XR650 @ 200W never had a problem yet
