On a similar note, it's been mentioned at work the US Military has missing M1 tanks! A whole god damn main battle tank missing!! What happens is the tanks over seas stay there. And different mech / armor units come and go and hand over the equipment all ready in country. Somehow in the changeover process serial numbers and actual items of equipment aren't getting recorded. It's not that the US doesn't know how many tanks are in country...but we serisouly couldn't tell you where exactly they all are
