Tire irons
I tried changing a tire when I was 13 and by the time I had it mounted I couldnt inflate due to the tube looking like a sieve.
A week or so ago I got these off ebay as I was getting fed up of paying someone $20 to fix a flat or swap a tire.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0194512021
Just a set of 3 standard tire irons.
WHAT a purchase!!! Hands down the best tool Ive ever bought.
This vid is a must watch, no matter how many tires you've swapped in the past....
http://www.transworldmotocross.com/mx/h ... 21,00.html
In 4 days Ive swapped a tube on my AF, swapped a paddle on my GSS bike, fixed a front slow leak, swapped a tube for a buddy and broke down one of my paddle rims to weld up a crack. These things have already paid for themselves!
I watched the video on transworldmx on how to swap tires and so far its easy as pie! The first on I did was a struggle but its getting easier every time and Ive yet to pinch a tube.
The days of me dropping off a rim and tire, breaking out a $20 and waiting 3 hrs are over

wasn't I giving you a hard time about that now just convince MFDB to do the same.
I've got a shorter one like the top one and 2 moose ones like the middle one. even the toughest tire with a HD tube will take me under 20 minutes to swap.
Like you said they paid themselves off the first use. I didn't have that nice video, so I had to figure out my own techniques, then that vid helped me improve on them.

You're also not likely to BEND YOUR ROTORS that way.britincali wrote:dannygraves wrote:its no fun if there is no threat of whacking your hand on the sprocket!
Tip #1 Do it from the rotor side

Saran wrap works in a pinch!
So, uh, since the videos aren't up anymore, anybody have a decent alternative? Like a writeup or something? I'll try searching youtube.
Edit: found these- http://www.expertvillage.com/video/1330 ... ross-1.htm
I'll give it a try. Finding warmth and sun is going to be difficult in Michigan, though.
