Reusing OE "Y"?

Post by dogger315 »

This question is for those of you that have replaced the cradle on your
conversion and used the stock "Y" piece.

I am trying to clean out the old tubing from the "Y" and the frame. So far I
have tried a cut off wheel and a flap wheel on a grinder, a die grinder with a
carbide bit and a end mill with various bits. Everything I have tried is very
time consuming and the results are not that great. I'm not a machinist, so
I only have rudimentary knowledge and skill in this area

I've been told this is a simple procedure. Am I missing something, Is
there a simple way to do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Doing one more year from next month. Plan to start a
countdown clock about six months out :D
