Moose Racing Torque Spacer
Moose Racing Torque Spacer
I searched but didn't find any details - excuse me if this is a repost.
Has anyone used one of these on an '01 engine? If so, did you notice any difference and did you have to re-jet for it?

Roostius said he recommends it with his porting and that it should help even a stock engine. I put one on my bike yesterday and ran it a couple of passes on the street in front of my house. Didn't seem to cause any adverse effects and jetting seems fine. Will take it out to the track this weekend to see if there's any noticeable difference.

Didn't notice any difference on the track but the bike won't idle now. May need to tweak the air screw a bit.

Doesn't seem to have any. I would think it would idle up higher (run lean) if there were. Performance seems no different - low, mid, and top end of the rev spectrum feels the same. No difference in how the power comes on compared to without the spacer. Will work with it tomorrow evening.

Easiest way to find an air leak is start her up, run it at constant revs as low as possible, and spray an aerosol can (just about anything will do, penetrating oil, Aerostart ether, flyspray . . . ) around the carb and airboot. If it's leaking, the revs will rise. Word of warning, if you do use one of those ether engine starter sprays, keep the overspray well away from the plugcap !jbird_710 wrote:Doesn't seem to have any.
