Hello old friends. it has been a while since i've been here because after building my last 500afc it was sold and the chain of like continues.. Now this time I am going to be building a bike for Pro vet racer Shawn Wynne, Google his name and check him out! he's a great rider.. anyways, back to business. i have a 2011 kx250f frame and am in the process of picking a motor.. not sure if i want to go cr500 or stay team green.. I know this is a cr500 forum but i know most of you guys and you are all mostly "500" fans. any help with info, retro fits, using kx250 stators, air boots.. you know all that normal stuff. would greatly appreciated! and of course photo's to come!

What year is the donor? I have heard earlier than 89 is getting hard to find engine parts for. Not too sure.

This one is a 1988. I heard it was from 1988-2004 where the same unchanged motors. It was pre 1988 that is almost impossible to get parts for

That came out nice! Too bad you cant integrate a later-style Honda kicker - at the stock KX kicker throws off the lines.
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
