cr250 does the tire hit the pipe?

Post by maddog1927 »

Has anyone checked. I know it is an issue with the 125. But just looking at my gen 2 cr250 it looks like it would hit. I know the gen 4 sh bikes hit slightly.

I'm running a gen3 cr250 using an OEM 500 pipe, with an Eline carbon fibre guard and I've had the tire touch the guard under full compression with a slightly turned wheel.

my gen 4 sh hits the pipe, with brand new, and bent PC, and gnarly, not enough to be a problem tho
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
