You can roll all the jumps if you want.
There are 2-3 tiny tables before the SX track, then IIRC one double, a table top, a big big tripple, the water jump (or whoops) and thats it.

If you want to know what the track layout is just picture your favorite desert trail then add in 3 ft whoops the entire length...... Then invision riding with 300 other buddies that want to kill you..... Then when you are really tired from all the whoops you see a supercross style track with 5000 people just waiting for you to hurt yourself bigtime..... Then when you are finally through all that you do it 2 more times!!!!
It fun as hell man and something you will NEVER forget
Exactley what Brit just said.
If the water jump is situated the same as last year just don't hit it with to much speed or you will blow thru the turn and end up in a chain link fence after it.
Hope you guys have medical...what ever you do, KEEP YOUR LINE (if you are going to roll on the big stuff) or you will have 14 year olds on 250's landing on your heads...(bikes dont steer very well once they leave the ground)
Faster then Speedy Gonzalez, slower then the Road Runner!!! MEEP MEEP
The first time I did the race was 5 years ago I did it on an 87 YZ490, I was out in the desert part half way through my first lap hauling ASS, I was riding well beyond my ability and hitting the whoops in 3rd gear pinned, the bike was all over the place swapping left and right.
I honestly thought I was gonna die at any moment I was that out of control..... Then Ty blew by me in 5th wide friggin open, he mush have been doing 85+ and flat blew my doors off. I almost crapped myself.
He had lapped my half way through my first lap then lapped me again before I finished
From that day on Ive had bigtime respect for that "old timer"

Old, over-weight, un-fit, generally clueless on a bike - that's me. I did Adelanto last year, survived and smiled for at least a week. The jumps are pretty tame except for the water jump, and if you keep right then you can go round it through about 4 or so whoops. You just need to plug around the 8 miles of sand whoops and gear up for the very fast fire road and asphalt sections.
I would have gone anyway, but if it is the last year that seals it for me. There were questions about last year's race, but they pulled it off. Out in the boonies you could see the roads already laid out ready for building. A shame, but more reason to seize the opportunity now.
