After lots of banging my head against the wall, I was ready to split the cases again. I decided to pull the clutch cover for an inspection, before commiting to pull 'er out again. What I found really pissed me off. I noticed play in the clutch basket and hub, engine torque was moving it enough to thrust the clutch arm out of the case. I don't know how I overlooked that when I assembled it, or maybe it felt seated and wasn't quite bottomed? 99% sure I used the impact gun to install the nut. Needless to say... I re-torqued the nut and reused the reused lock washer, as the tabs were not yet broken off. After all this headache, it turned out to be something (or someone) stupid. Jetting was way rich, dropped the main 3 sizes and found the pilot was plugged with crap. Got her running satisfactorily for now, not going to get too involved as it is already cold, may even be able to go leaner in the summer. Now ready for a real ride, hopefully it will happen before snow falls.

Thanks for the head swelling compliments, makes me feel like I did something here. I consider it pretty much done, as the only parts I don't have are NLA (airbox cover/mudflap is one of them, main reason I haven't ridden the bastard yet cause it won't stop frickin raining). Probably be snowmobile time around here soon, but my sled is gone, just got rid of it this past week. Gonna have to rejet and get some tire studs..........

I don't take my riding abilities too seriously so I don't mind posting my screw ups for you guys.freeride588 wrote:jbsleddin wrote:I saw your "freestyle" video and it made me a subscriber. Did you name that new trick yet?Tharrell wrote:Awesome!

The best though belongs to Bob and that splashdown faceplant in a GP a while back.
