I adopted a 9 year old last night.
She's gonna be the death of me, I just know it.
My son couldn't wait to play with her. Yeah, that's NOT gonna happen.
Sleeping soundly in her new room.
Haven't had much opportunity to ride it yet. But the brief test ride I took...
HOOOOLLLLYYYYYY SHEEEEEEIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!
I have not experienced thrust like that since my last commercial air flight takeoff.
CR500. Pfffft. Whatever.
Stoffers, Slomo, the rest of you crazy fuckers that put these things in a dirt chassis and aim them up hill, YOU'RE OUTTA YOUR FAWKIN MIND!!!

Ok, got to commute with it yesterday. I think I have a firm grasp on why people like Rhino, who proclaim to have no self control, don't ride these things. Because it WILL KILL you. It's a wonder you don't hear more about dead squids.
I used to think "accidental wheelies" on a streetbike were a joke. I had a hell of a time MAKING some pretty strong streetbikes float the front using the clutch, including my V65 Sabre. I don't even have accidental wheelies on the CR. I'm here to tell ya, they're real. And damn scary. And happen WITHOUT clutching.
The boy wants to ride it... Yeah, no way, no how. My dad even knows better than to swing a leg over it. Kinda makes me question my own sanity.
Perhaps I'm sheltered. Who am I kidding, I know I'm sheltered. I knew these newer sportbikes were crazy fast, I just had no idea HOW truly insane they really were.
All that said, I LOVE this bike. It's a shame the poor thing is going to be bored for the rest of it's life only seeing the high side of 6k of it's 11.5k redline once in a blue moon.
Does this mean I'm no longer a hoon?
Maybe I never was one...
