Fair price for '05 CRF250R roller?
What's a fair price for a ready to ride '05 CRF250R complete roller? Engine is grenaded--total loss except for transmission and carburetor.
I found one today that belongs to a fellow local rider an offered him $700, believing I can Ebay the exhaust, carburetor and maybe transmission for a couple hundred dollars. He hasn't accepted the offer, but hasn't rejected it either.
Is this the generation 3?

I may offer the guy $1000 then and see if that'll buy it. The chassis is race ready, except for needing new tires. Plastics are perfect.
Fellow was running a big bore kit on it and the rod snapped in half going full boogy over a big gap jump. Wadded him up in a ball when he landed--he told me he saw stars for days.

why make it difficult ?
solid bro has already done this shit. be just another day at the office for him to make another Y. cant remeber if motor mounts are needed but i would have him make me the Y and other necesarry mounts, then i would cut the frame in the garage to fit the Y and weld it all locally. seems pretty straight forward. rads, airbox, headstay and everything else is miniscule just like all the conversions. no screwing with bending pipe and all that nonsense. maybe i over looked something and its harder than i made it sound ? i do agree it might be a tall order without a source for the Y.

UPDATE: I never offered the guy any more for it, and he called me tonight after 10 days and told me he'd take my $700 for it. Also found out the head is still useable, so I'll have that to Ebay also.
Looks like I'll be saving up for the conversion pieces. I want to do the thing right.
