OEM
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

O>E>M why would you bother buying cheap crap ones?

I bought a used car from Japan today...it only had 15 nautical miles on it..

Thats why I ask. To see if there is anything better. If you don't ask you will never know.
I have 2 Banshee's also and there are after market bearings that are better than the stock crank bearings.

Thanks

persoanlly i thought it was NTN , dont matter anyway .
i buy and use bearings daily in work , the list goes on on manufactors ... bearing life is down to application and conditions as we all know .
i would have SKF over any japanese make , but thats personal choice .
just make sure the speed(clearance) is correct for mains .

I've had NTN's and Koyo's come from Honda. Seems like there was another Japanese brand Honda used by I can't remember now

There are, but you're going to pay for them.

My Wiseco crank kit came with a japanese made bearing. dont remember the manufacturer though. I think they were the same as the ones I pulled out, but I wont swear to it.

so far I have 40 ish hours on my wiseco bottom end. Not a single issue yet.

Peace of mind - go OEM. Know your bearing manufacturers / have a local bearing supply house you trust - other (even cheaper) options are open to you.

Bearing makers often supply OEM's with bearing not available to the public.

OEM is the only way to go.

OR......

Ever hear of these guys?

microblue has ceramic ones right?

I've heard good and bad things about ALLBALLS products, good about crank bearings, bad about linkage stuff.

I've heard good stuff about MicroBlue too, but on the flip side I've also heard of them shattering when used as wheel/axle bearings on racecars.

Brit can keep is FAG bearings, I prefer my bearings not to be packed full of KY.

I've gone thru this alot of times, about how my stock car guys have been trying to run them in titanium hubs, sponsored by them, and they fk up 10x more often than an ntn bearing will

Wow!!!!!!!!!
Just a simple question. I know for sure there are better than stock crank bearings for Banshee's. ( Maxload, TZ ). I broke the OEM yamaha bearings and then went to the Maxload and have not had another problem.

I thought just maybe there were better one for the 500, but I guess not. So I will order new ones from Honda.

Thanks
