When jay took off around me at the top of that hill i heard his bike wind up and i started gettin it to keep up but then i looked back to make sure the group was ok and let off... i forgot about the newbies in the dunes... ohh well.. Next time i can really try my talent and keep up... I burnt about 5 gallons and by the time dusk had set my arms were starting to cramp up. Stupid me hadnt eaten anything all day. Just fluids and wasnt enough... NExt time i will be more prepared.

Honestly i wasnt worried one bit about the clan taking off... I knew they were dune vets and knew their way around.. and as MFDB said you cant miss the signiture lewis clan roost 12' in the air LOL so getting the group back together was pretty easy.. Brian and val did exceptionally well for their first time in the sand i was very proud of val the most. She never follows anyone other than brian and she felt very comfortable following me around even when i picked up the pace a little she was right there.

It was a great trip and i cant wait to do it again with you guys.

I agree, Val does really well, better then some guys I know...

Brian is still sticking to his story that he doesnt care for the sand...I think he needs all the fast guys to get together for a ride one day and see if he doesnt have fun...

Other than the rear end being a little squirrely which can be overcome by a wrap of the wrist.. its not as bad as people think... When i first got into sand i spent my first season and a half on a knobbie.. The only reason for keeping the knobbie on this bike for the first few trips as its my first 500 i dont want to kill myself just yet... i want to learn the bike before i step up... However it will be on there for t-day in 2 weeks :D I cant wait to hit the sand with that thing.. should be lots of fun
