2 weeks ago the car that we'd been involved with broke a rocker stand and the spare enigne was installed. Saturday and Sunday night that engine took a thrashing at Grand forks ND on one of the roughest tackiest conditions and had failed after chassis parts damaged the drysump oil system. Without another drysump engine prepped on the floor my customer installed a wet sump engine built for an open wheel modified class, all 355cid. The mod motors are shy on hp#s compared to our latemodels, but perform excellent.
The Fargo track has gone thru some remodeling lately and thee only driver to run on it has been Tony, he spent 4 days dooing practice runs and setting up the suspenion.
After winning the heat with the car my guy went on to spank Tony for the win.
Tony was heard later saying "dang that kid is fast"
