Hello from southwest Oh.

Post by riverman »

Hey
Another old open class rider . Started riding when I was 8. Got my first big bike when I turned 18 raced untill I was 25 Mx & Harescrambles . Started a family that put and end to the fun for several years. When the kids got old enough we got them bikes and quads which got me into the Banshee's which I still have 2. Now the youngset 21 left home I told my wife it is time to build an AF500 She is not happy, I got hurt bad on a 500 in 2004 got the helicopter ride not good. Broken ribs punctured lung broken shoulder and collar bone 12 weeks off of work. Got back to work for 2 weeks took that cr500 out and beat the shit out of it just to show her it was just an accident.
So now I bought a gen 1 frame. I know it's not the best but it is a start and this weekend bought a 98 500 the engine starts easy runs ok . So I will be here asking lots of questions. Have aready done plenty of reading here and other sites.

Thanks in advance

G-1's rock, get a good suspension upgrade all round, pad your seat up, & go for it, they're easy.
