That's my fear whenever I'm NOT on a motocross track.

A guy came over a double at me 20 years ago.
We were taking videos on the perimeter of the Eglin AFB bomb range.
We met in the middle and his footpeg got me in the chest.
I let off when I saw him crest but I still got the worst of it.
The footpeg hit me in the chest and the Hallman protector did good until it got to my armpit.
It ripped the skin from my armpit to my elbow.
2 operations and a skin graft fixed me up.
I found Torstens email last year and sent him a thank you.
Back in the day, those Hallmans were the toughest, hardest to wear but, it absolutely saved my life.
This picture is about a year before it happened.

I had a head on with a wanker out near the thumper cross track 5 years ago, fucked me and my bike up, shit it actually nearly killed me, and it was his fucking fault, 2 wheel sliding at 120kph through a blind corner exited on the wrong side of the road & wham into me.

Now its MX track or waaaay out of town where the city boys dont venture
I have been to the top of the mountain and yes it is good.
