ok my concern on the tps was if withit disconected you would be locked into a certain timing , my only experience with tps is on yamaha 2 stroke snowmobiles and when you disconect they revert to wide open timing ,which is ok except they lose bottom and mid range. thought that maybe you could be stuc...

the peppering on the head and the piston is detonation , so in fact it was "pinging" .... detonation can be very hard to hear at times, generaly you have to have hurt a lot of motors to hear it , sometimes i can even be a change in tone especially during wot .. sometimes best description i...

just about to order one for my" new" 98 motor , i have sold seven of them to sprint cart racers , word is they are great and smooter than stock crank ,but not as smooth as balanced,but close enough that no one is getting them rebalanced, plus the sprint guys turn the motor 8300 to 9200 rpm...

ya i wonder why also , although i seem to remember some steel wheel 70s stuff oe like that , plus if you did the lite rim locks at 180 then you might get away with very little weight added else where,, just thinking out loud...

next time you have the tires off try a set of the motion pro lite rim locks i run them on my stuff work great and should cut your amount of balance weight at least in half , probably more

tomorrow i get to go to surgery to get my rotator tendon tear fixed , guess my bikes are going to sit a while , i didnt even get to gas up the 5hunny yet this year , was to busy playing with my new toy , dumb luck i got one of the sxf450 fe dungy editions , only got to put about 5 hours on it..........

we run our snomobiles at no more than 135 water temp ussualy about 120 and they definately run more consistent with less detonation problems and make more hp than at higher temps , think about jetskis most lake water and ocean water is less than 80 degrees and those motors last forever , on my af i ...
