I looked in all the usual places for this, but without success. I did find out that the retainer is common to 125, 250, 480, and 500s from 1983 to 1986. You are probably going to need a new rear hub or wheel.

You might have luck in the swap meet of forum here: http://honda-elsinore.com/

If you have more money than time, buy a Service Honda. If you have more time than money, build it yourself. If I had a do-over I would buy a bike to ride in the meanwhile, while I found a donor frame and engine. I would have the fab work done professionally and I would re-build the engine from the g...

No it's an old picture they must have nabbed from one of the Elsinore vintage forums. I have run red fork guards and Fox Shox and no pipe guard for a long time.

Mine is set as recommended for high speed and sweep, and then 8 clicks out on the low speed. Never notice it until the rare occasion I hit something really solid and it saves my bacon. If you ever change your top triple clamp, check the handlebar mount spacing before you buy because some vendors hav...

I had the kind of day produced by being congenitally slow, and then preparing by not riding for most of the year. I need to practice, practice, practice - particularly ruts and flat turns! It was cool to be on the track at the same time as the likes of Kehoe, Emig, Matiasevich, Burnworth etc. even w...

No. Unless you found a mint version for a bargain basement price. Or it was your first bike or something similar. Definitely not a first choice for collecting, historic racing, technology etc. If you could pick any you might go for 1983 CR480R, 1986-1987 CR500R, 2001 CR500R?
