got tires, got plug, got gas, fired off in about 10 kicks (youre right you have to get FULL KICKS or it aint startin  )
needs the pipe sealed, needs the carb tuned, needs bunch of little stuff before i can ride it/break it in... atleast i can torque the cylinder/head now.
my question is i added a 1/2 gallon AV GAS to the 91 octane. will that screw it up big time jetting wise ?
its got a 170main in it now
55 pilot
1 1/2 turns out (tried 3)
not sure on needle will have to check that
600 ft elevation (dry/low humidity/70-80*)
guy i bought carb from said it didnt idle for him so i knew i would have to play.. thats ok i like learning new stuff (i am a sorta kinda newbie bike tech)
really not satisfied with how it looks at this time. will work on that as i can. :?
thanks

bridge dont have nothing to do with it. used carbs are risky investment if you buy it sight unseen and dont know its history. just have to mess with it and see what happens

its gonna be more play on street than anything with some light dirt riding thrown in... have to get my jetting and a whole chain figured out first :?

I've thought of doing a whole red engine with 89 red plastics and yellow # plates for an old school look.

got an R6 kickstand from a friend thats got a junk/parts pile behind his house... CR now has a kickstand.. only cost me about 5$ in parts but most of the day grinding/drilling/running around getting stuff from hardware store etc...... it turned out great but sticks out way to much when up :headshake no way around it if ya want the bike to lean over any and not fall to the other side... :headscrat

i used the R6 mount and drilled my frame, bought a steel spacer, tapped it with a 8mm thread and welded it into the frame..used the stock chain roller hole for the back mount. its def. strong enough to hold the bike but i would never try using it to kick start the bike.

lol thats the nice thing about it. i have like 5$ in parts in it and a couple hours time (i have a welder and already had the metal/bolts to build the mount).... and after modding my mount it is PERFECT now and more than sturdy enough to hold the bike up fine. i wont ever need to use the kickstand to start it so no worries there....

:D got the parts i needed to finish drive train over the weekend (other than shifter seal-ON ITS WAY) and was able to do a quick break in run around the block a couple times...... runs really nice, prob. needs a bit more carb tuning but actually works pretty well :P .... def. need to gear it up a bit , 5th gear wheelies are not a good thing in this town  (way to many cops) and it wants to come on the pipe at cruise..... :o
did a mid throttle plug chop on my last run down the hill and it looks perfect.. :D
