Unless there was a lot more not shown in the vid they were bang out of order for shooting him, IMO theres nothing wrong with a little cat and mouse as long as it isnt on busy streets.

Just watched it again and he tried his best to avoid the cops, no ramming I can see untill the one cop started shooting at him. If someone was shooting at me .... well its on then.

I agree with Bob .....cat & mouse maybe but the guy should not have put the cops life at risk in the 1st place. he should have stoped after the 1st cop ramed him at that point he could have made it. it was after that the shooting started

Ok just watched it AGAIN

25 seconds in guy flips a bitch after the cop lights him up, cop calls in "trys to ram me" Yea rite....

1.33 another bitch, no ramming involved

1.45 blows a red on a left turn

3.33 guy trys to flip around again

3.36 cop hits his door

3.42 starts shooting

Then a big bit of video missing (maybe this is what im missing here)

3.49 spins him

4.02 jumps on hood and caps him.

Ok so after 3.36 the guy should have stopped, I somehow missed that the first 2 times watching it

At no time did the guy intentionally try to ram the cops.

We have no place making a judgement based on this single video in the first place. There are always facts that we don't have, that need to be taken into consideration. You can make nearly any situation look better or worse with some simple editing and taking things out of context. Hell, the whole thing could have been staged to generate outrage for all we know.

Some people will go to great lengths to generate a reaction.

I can't see the vid, but figure I know what went on. I'll tell you what, I have run from the cops several times, none of those times warrented them shooting me to death. I guess the main difference is I can drive and ride like a somebitch when I need to, and I got away each time.

You know, I have run from the cops a number of times too, but there are different levels of running from the cops. What this guy was doing was pushing it and he had it coming. I've been at partys that got busted for drugs, underaged drinking, naked drunk teenage girls , etc. (oh the good ol' days!) and just ran, and there weren't enough cops to grab everyone. One time (at bandcamp...j/k) I was in rancho cucamonga in the five OOOHHH heading east on 19th turning south on Archibald and did a little drifting action (by a little I mean the rear of the car was facing north east the whole time and the front was facing the corner) and noticed a cop car sitting at the light heading north on archibald and he looked right at me, then started blipping his siren and flashing his lights to get everyone out of his way and busted a U-turn, but I was already hauling balls into the neighborhood where I lived as a little kid and knew all the little back streets and popped out the other side and kept hauling, never saw him again.
I think its pushing it when you are right infront of them bumping into their car with multiple cops surrounding you, thats when you have to give up, or they will consider you a threat to their own safety and do what they think they have to do to get home to their famailies at the end of the night.

A lot of people forget that cops are people too, people with a wife, 2.3 kids, a dog and a mortgage.
I didn't trully get it until I had a kid of my own, thats what I started explaining the Brits buddy who has one on the way. If anyone threatens me, thats a threat to my family, if I get hurt and can't work or die, then my family will suffer. Fuck me, its my kids that matter and my wifes abaility to take care of them. Its what runs through every fathers head. If I died tomorrow, my life insurance would buy my wife a year, maybe 2, then she'd have to work. She'd lose the house because she wouldn't be able to make enough to pay for it especially after putting the kids in day care (a place I don't want them to be) and have to move to a crummy apartment in nor town or some shit and get mugged and raped and my kids would grow up to be tweakers. I know its a long shot, but its the type of shit going through the cops head when some drunk asshole want to ram his car into him.
