According to the factory manual, 640cc or 21.6 ounces each for standard level

prob too late but meassuring the oil level is more important. should be 110-120mm from the top with the leg compressed, with damper rod pumped,no spring.
do it!... cos if you dont, youll spend the rest of your life thinking about it anyway!

The manual is not hosted at the other site. Not that I can find. There are only links to download it from some shady filehost.

Last time I did mine, it would have been handy. The plastic piece just below that swells over time. As such, the diameter of it creates pressure on the inside of the spring and it gets stubborn to pull out of the spring.

So the wire is left in the fork during operation?

No, it's just to pull it out. First pic says attach and install spring, second one says remove it.

Thanks for all the good info. I have the manual but I was at work and the shop doing my repairs did not have one for my specific bike and I was trying to avoid another days delay getting my forks back.
