Anybody have any ideas for some good open desert CR500 worthy (high speed no rock crawling) desert rides?

As far as I know, so far Steiners place on Sunday. About 8 or 9 miles east of Comp Edge. Deep Creek rd.

Don't know anything about Steiners place, but if it fits the bill I'm interested.

There's some high speed down the wash (Mojave' river) a small moto track on the prop next door. Trail riding up in the hills at the power lines

I'm trying to confirm if he's going to be there Sunday. If not I'm seriously looking at Cahullia because of next weeks Vet X race there and I know his team is doing that race. With all this rain I hope Cahullia is even open. I'll have to check proride.com and see what they have to say.

There are some NASTY new wash outs around Barstow, be careful. I landed in one in my truck, punched a hole in the radiator and bent the frame. The road washed out overnight. Suprise! Image

Looks like a potentially fun area. I don't think there's any track in socal that will be rideable for several (dry) days.

Yeah they are. I would consider it. But if I'm going to race Cahuilla I should practice there. A few are planning on Cahullia from there.
I'm not going to know for sure until tomorrow afternoon.
