either way, my point is it just seems to me that the war was lost 1 week after the invasion. but now the oil is lost, america should pull the fuck out instead of providing security for china and russia.

I think he is referring to this

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/art ... gD9CHMAGO3

If he is, it is obvious that he is an idiot!!!
It is just a contract to develop an oil field for which they get a certain price per barrel. Iraq still gets to choose who they sell it to. Several other countries/corporations bid on other locations, but chose not to bid on the less secure ones, which is why Russia got the contract.

I'm not really sure how that has anything to do with Bush, but one has to consider the originator of this thread.

it seems the american companies haven picked up any big contracts in the oil fields yet, where as other countries have. while the russsian owned oil company will earn only 2million/day for the deal, its a firm foot in the door for a country that backed saddam, denounced the invasion and has been backing iran politically during its nuclear ambitions.it will be interesting to see who wins the production/refining contracts later on.

The Stuz is right on this one. We are losing contracts to foreigners, this is one of many that forign countries have won. Dont get this war confused with "liberation", it was only introduced after no "wmds" were found.

Without knowing all the details of the auction, and the American companies' bids (if there were any), the economics of oil extraction v the price offered by the Iraqi government etc. etc. one can't make an opinion whether American companies have won or lost anything. (If you want an example of over-bidding for government resources look at the history of the 3G mobile network licenses.) The fundamental principle is that America should support free market capitalism and that means letting the Iraqis contract with whomever they want under terms of their choosing.

WTF? If the bidding was open to American oil companies, and it sounds like it was.....they can't decide for themselves whether it is worth it to them to bid? I guess they need you two douche bags to give them business advice. I wonder how they became as huge and wealthy as they have without your advice?

Even if bidding was not open to American companies (speculation), Iraq has the right to do business with whomever they like. How do you figure the war in Iraq has anyting to do with forcing them to do business with American companies?

You both obviously have your theories regarding reasons for the Iraq war, and they may be valid. Make no mistatke, even if this war was never about "liberation", they have in fact been liberated. It sounds like you want to force them to do business with who you believe is appropriate.......that's called FASCISM!

it is pretty obvious america is there to liberate the oil as much as the people.
when america liberated afghanistan, the first contracts president karsia signed were for american oil pipelines to run through the caspian sea.

it surprises me that american oil companies arnt jumping all over the oil contracts at this stage. maybe cos american companies in iraq are about as popular as mcdonalds outlets on mayday and security would be too costly. maybe its to get other countries involved to help stabilize iraq.either way im very surprised to see them miss out on one of the largest contracts in one of the worlds biggest oil fields.
it seems logical, after all the trillions of dollars spent, and the damage its caused the economy and the lives lost, that they could pulled some strings to get some lucrative contracts won

i think china is now one of the worlds largest oil producers now. if i remember correctly, they over took american companies in oil production about two years ago.
i thought exxon would of been more keep to retake the crown.

If the war was solely about oil, then it might have made more sense to occupy the Southern oil fields, and let the Kurds take over those in the North. The Neocons expected that Iraq would become a democracy favorable to, and friendly with the United States. It didn't work out that way as we all know.

If you read the background material, you'll see that some of the oil companies passed on the opportunity to bid, not because of security but because the Iraqi government contractual terms and conditions were unfavorable. Oil companies have experience doing business in hostile environments, including dealing with pipelines being blown up and their employees kidnapped.

I don‘t know? There are so many accusations in these videos with little hard evidence given. It is not that I don’t find them interesting, but I can’t bring myself to buy into something I can’t research and prove on my own. The sheer time and effort that it would take to research all these accusations is mind boggling, and at this point I am just not willing to invest it! With that said, I digest all this information and try to retain it for reference. I am not partisan either, I would consider myself a strict constitutionalist. I have to say however, that those videos sounded partisan, or at least sympathetic towards liberals/democrat perspectives. “Bush is evil and Obama is just misled“, is what I got out of them. I am no fan of Bush, I dislike him as much as I dislike our current Socialist……… I dream about someone who doesn’t wipe his/her ass with the Constitution.

I wonder if you have researched and verified the accusations in these videos with EMPERICAL evidence, rather than just buy in to them because they sound feasible or intriguing? In my opinion ,to do that would be crazy and irresponsible.

very interesting vids, thanks for sharing.

"zeitgeist final edition" is interesting
"zeitgeist addendum" has some interesting shit on energy.
"missing links" 1-12 has got some real interesting shit.

but as much as you open up to whats happening, getting other people to wake up and see it is like taking a horse to water.

so the false flag attacks,

gulf of tonkin incident
uss liberty
and the jewish mossad agents caught with a van of explosives(on 911) statements made/photos of involvement in 911

these arent real enough events for you to believe even though they are factual, doccumented and undisputed?

I don't blame you. It took me 6 years to get all this figured out. And I'm still learning.

Yes, I have, and so have many others trying to disprove this when they hear about it. I know I was shocked and didn't want to believe it. There is a list of all the references used for all of alex's movies on his website somewhere. The peak oil one I need to investigate more, but it is interesting.
