This happened about 10 minutes from our house. We actually drive by their neighborhood every weekend when we take our son to guitar lessons.

There is a special place in hell for the bastard(s) that did this.

RIP Somer.

Yeah, that number is just crazy. Of course, not all of them are against children. In Florida, an 18 year old could have sex with a 17 year old and potentially get arrested for statutory rape. They would then be considered a sex offender and would have to register as one.

Still, the thought that you just don't know what lurks in your own neighborhood is disturbing at the very least.

As far as Somer's killer or killers are concerned, I like the truck idea or maybe tie their legs to two horses and kick the horses in the ass. To have such a blatent disregard for human life and then to just throw her in the fucking trash. No punishment is enough.

A registered sex offender doesnt mean child molester.

2 15 year old Ohio kids were forced to register as sex offenders after police found naked pictures on their phones. the people in the pics were never confirmed as minors or porn stars BTW......

it was all over the news, but i cant seem to locate the article

oh, sex offender registry can be obtained by pissing on the side of the E-Way as well (hell, sometimes you just have to fucking go)

Who the hell lets a 7 year old walk a mile to and from school? Jesus.

They aren't releasing the cause of death for a reason, they want the family member to let it slip while talking to detectives... it's pretty academic.

She had been walking with her siblings prior to their getting into a argument. Afterwards, she was walking alone. When she didn't show up at home, they called their mother who was at work.

Good to see that you can find the humor in a seven year old being murdered and thrown in the trash. Really funny shit man.

Some things to add here. I found out that in our county, you must live atleast 1.5 miles from the school to take the school bus. The mother would drop the children off in the morning and they would walk home with friends after school while she was at work. Definitely, not ideal but she's going through a divorce, has to work and the husband lives in North Carolina.

Also, Somer argued with another kid, not a sibling on the way home that day. After the argument, she ran ahead of the other kids, her brother (twin) and her sister.

The mother does have a boyfriend who apparently lives with her as he was home when the kids got there and noticed Somer hadn't made it. Why didn't he pick the kids up in the afternoon? I don't know, maybe he works and got there just before them? Who knows.

It does state that he had the kids look for Somer and that he didn't call her mother until they returned about an hour later. Could he have something to do with it? Possibly but the police have focussed the majority of their time on an empty house that's on the children's route home.

Her funeral is today.

When they catch the fucker, they should tie him to a fence post in that neighborhood and let the people take care of him as they see fit
