Qustion on RTT stabilizer

Post by Chief Gunner »

When I bought my '97 Steelie, the guy I bought it from had put one of these on it...:bling:

I will admit that I'm new to using a stabilizer; I've been experimenting with the settings as I ride and the bike seems pretty stable at high and low speeds with it on varying terrain. I do like the "on the fly" thumb lever, I can stiffen it up or loosen it with a press of my thumb.

I've noticed that I can ride all day without any fore arm pump so I figure it must be helping out by keeping the handle bar shake minimal. It's either that or I just got used to the bike now...I guess my question is;

"Are these RTT Stabilizers a good product?"

I got a GPR one a few months back and absolutely love it, on a normal ride I set it to #3, in sand turn it up to around 5 then in major rocks around 6.

No more arm pump for me either, and the death shake is a thing of the past :D

GPR sux, same cost as a Scotts and WAAYYY less adjustable. Pro Moto Billet has purchased designs from Elka which have even more adjustability than Scotts and are priced competitively...
