I have two of them for my 250 conversions.
The plastic doesn't fit as well, but they seem to be decent quality, and I paid less than the stock honda subframe for them.
I haven't had too many hard crashes with one yet, but I haven't bent the one that I am using now.

I just snapped my AC subframe on my Gen 1 during my first lap of the final moto of today.
I was not too impressed.
I'm not even that fat!

:o :o :o

Wow i wouldn't of expected that sort of thing to happen, you didn't stack because of it breaking?

I suppose they are a 1 year only deal and expensive as hell?

Are you going to weld it up or buy a new/ second hand subframe?

its fair to say the bottom half will be bent from the top half failing. having said that, you may be able to get it welded if you trust it :D are you landing on your arse/seat or do you use your feet to absord the impact when jumping?

I think I will order another one, but I will get this one welded.
I didn't crash when I landed because I was still holding most of my weight with my feet when it happened.
I didn't even bottom out, and I'm only 200 lbs.
I had a brand new rebuilt front and rear suspension on its first time out too, so I gotta say it was just a cheap subframe.
I also haven't crashed this bike since I put this subframe on.

My reaction is still  :? :x

Wow, bummer dude.
Its lucky you didn't have all your weight on it, things could of been a lot different.

Can you still get the subframe from Honda?

I've broken my oem one in the same spot about 4 times. also sucks if its a '97 since '97 only fits '97, so used oem are hard to come by.

yup  but mine never broke that bad, it was alwyas one side or another. of coarse, they usually broke from an impact from the rear caused by me looping the bike

sounds like you might be better off welding that one up and strengthening it up with some bracing or welding some extra alloy strips there.be shore to be shore! cos judging by dannys experience, it might just happen again with another oem.
