Hello,
My name is Alex Hofstetter and I have an '87 in Rolla, MO. I recently found out that my piston has a crack in it and will be posting pics of it shortly.

I think I have a rear fender to replace your stiched one, you can have it for the cost of shipping if you want.

Yeah, I'm from St. Louis and my wife's from the KC area, but I don't follow them much anymore.

Howdy Alex and welcome! I just bought a 2001 that has a Vertex piston in it. It started and rode good but I guess I really need to check it out. I've got an '87 also but still trying to make time to hammer out the swing arm shaft; apparently I let it go a little too long.
