I have this KTM (Needs new piston,cylinder and rod) i want to put the forks in my "new for me" CR 500 Enduro conversion meanwhile i'm waiting for the money(AF),comments and constructive ideas please...What i'll need...i don't know nothin' about suspensions,all the advices are welcome

are you sure those aren't WP 50mm Extremes?

If anyone wants to supermoto their CR500AF and swap the stock Showa forks, wheel, brakes etc. for a 50mm Marzocchi setup with a Brembo radial disk let me know. My Husqvarna SM510R is basically a TC/TE bike but with a lower SM-specific front-end. I would consider converting it for off-road if I could swap the front end. It's too expensive to do a parts swap to convert the SM forks and brake for the TC/TE version.

Well if fact i thought the forks was Marzzochi(mistake)...but i think your

right the

I really liked those forks on my 96 ktm. seems like a lot of work to swap them out though. those are conventional and the steelie you have has upside down forks.

I think the 96 did have zokes, the Wp extremes didn't show up I think until 98? the extremes are one of the best conventional forks. The best was the big Showa conventional that was on 97/98 Rm's and believe it or not DRZ's (with dif valving of course). Changing forks isn't that hard, you may have to machine bushings to use different stems and or axles. I put a set of the big Showa conventionals on my Maico with a little machining and a hand made brake stay.

i think my bike has marzocchi forks but im not sure if they are magnums. honestly i havent looked closely at them

93-94 Magnum 45: Has alloy damping adjusters
95-97 Magnum 50: Has blue plastic adjusters
98- Magnum 45 & 50: Has slot-headed adjusters

or maybe you are talking about the new USD models.

is there another way to tell the difference ? mine doesnt have blue adjusters, but i heard they can get broke off. im not sure if mine got broke off

Shiny or not they are one the greatest motorcross bikes ever made.
I still think its nice, obviously it gets used a bit.

well i guess mine are 45mm, if i measured in the right place. at the bottom of the fork its time stamped '95 and the bike was made november '95 i think.
