Hello from Omaha!

Hello all, Been ridding since about 85 or 86. Went through a few different bikes over the years but the one that I have now and most likely will be put in the ground with is my 1992 CR500. I bought it new all those years back and always told myself that when I think there might be something better for me than I will part ways with this thing and move on. So far all I can think of that would be better than this is the exact same bike with electric start!
I think I was infected by this thing many years ago. Have a good one!

Where do you usually ride? I live around Lincoln and ride Union, Friend, I-80 raceway. You got any other bikes? I make to omaha on my R-1 fairly often.

Thats just it , I am kinda new to the area and have only ridden in one place across the river. Its a small ridding park. trails, trees, small hills, and lots of people. Wish I new of other places in the area. I do have another bike but its no R1 thats for sure. (1985 yamaha 550 3858 origional miles. I hardley ride it. Pretty much mint still) It goes up and down the road I guess! I have not even started it up yet. I dont know what anyone else thinks but I have been dealing with the wife to let me spend some money on a new Yamaha V Max. I kinda like those things. I would like to try and get an 06 through 08 with low miles around hear if possible. The 09's are a little out of my $range, I think $18000.

thats crazy. I thought my 01' with 3500mi was low miles. I'm going out Monday to Friend and hoping to ride the track most of the day. I'm sure your probably working since its monday. (Thank god my boss likes to ride and we have some vacation time
) If we are headed out to union (straight south of omaha about 40-50mi.) or the track in Ashland along I-80 I'll try and PM you ahead of time.
We go out quite a bit this time of year and try to hit all the local tracks and hopefully halsey (north of Kearney) and the Bartlett IA enduro this year.
If you are headed out anywhere close PM me know I can usually swing a day off to go and ride locally. I would love to go out with another 500 rider.
PS talk your wife in that vmax those things look pretty sweet.
