Swingarm Interchangeability

Post by hoofarted »

Hey all - Who knows for certain what years of steely swingarms/linkages will exchange with one-another. Reason I ask is that a hoon on other site bought my 92 swingarm/linkage/bolt for use on an 01. I didn't think anything changed between 91-01...I would like to be certain that it'll work before letting it go. Can anyone confirm?

Ah NO, however he my never know the difference.
I'm not sure exactly what part of the linkage is different, but I do know for a fact that 91-93 are the same, 94 is by itself and 95-01 is the same. Sure they will all bolt up no probably. Its just that dimensionally there different.

Seems as though in 94 engineering felt a change was needed making the link? longer. But felt it was to long and shortened the dimension to somewhere in between the 93-94 length. Hence 95-01.

Probably more info than what you needed to know.

Cool - Thanks for the replies. New owner already received parts and bolted them up - says they worked fine....
